  3. BTW as proof, the dieticians will recommend a post-prandial blood glucose
level not get above 10.0mmol/L or 180mg/dl level... HOWEVER... It's well
documented that arterial damage from high blood glucose occurs at 7.8mmol/L
or 140mg/dl. So the ADA is recommending post-prandial targets that CAUSE
ARTERIAL DAMAGE. Their diet and control recommendations will ENSURE people
get WORSE. The disease does NOT need to cause amputations, heart disease,
etc., but WILL when you follow the ADA/Dieticians.

  4. Also, registered dieticians aren't even allowed to dispense low-carb advice
    - they can and will lose their credential if they do. They are very closely
monitored by their governing agencies, who are (easy to verify) well-funded
by big-pharma and big-food. Same goes for the ADA/CDA - do you know who
their biggest sponsors are (20+ million per year?) big pharma and big-food
companies. All experts who care about people's health state the ADA targets
and recommendations are not to be followed.

  5. Also, I never said everyone needs to eat 30g of carb a day, did I? I said
it was what Bernstein recommended. I said simply that they need to eat Low
Carb - which isn't actually defined. 20-30g a day will get people into
dietary ketosis, and then individuals tailor their intake after that for
maintenance. I can maintain ketosis on 100-150g depending on my exercise
routine in a day, but I typically eat 75g a day or less - unless on a 4-5hr
    bike ride.

  6. I'm confused as to why you think a registered dietitans are not excellent
resources and experts. Some doctors have never taken a nutrition course.
And any diabetic will be told by their doctor to visit a registered
dietitian. Also, the amount of carbohydrates someone should eat per day
vary by the person. Not everyone with diabetes would need to eat 30 grams
of carbohydrates, as a matter of fact many can eat four times that amount.

  7. Rather than checking with a registered dietician to find out how much
carbohydrate to eat... Go to a REAL EXPERT - Dr. Richard Bernstein - who is
a diabetic physician who's done the research for 40+ years. Diabetics need
to eat LOW CARB, very low-carb in some cases. Dr. Bernstein recommends no
more than 30g of carbohydrate a day, which is very tight restriction, but
helps keep glucose in check very well.

  10. My blood sugar levels went through the roof eating those things. I almost
went to the hospital because I consumed all these high carbs and starches.
And don't tell me taking drugs help. That is a cop-out! The drugs don't
work. I went from a 154gl to 100gl in 10 days by not eating any wheat or
grains, or any sugars. I consumed meats, vegetables, berries, nuts, seeds,
& yes . . . cheese. I even lost 10 lbs in 1 month on this diet. A diet high
in carbs & starch is the worst thing you can do.

  17. it seems that you don't know what the hell your talking about if you have
to keep looking the bloody script. i bet you don't even have diabetes.

  18. Start with getting more organic foods and meats since normal produce have
pesticides and meat has a lot of injected hormones and preservatives which
affect your system. Insulin is a hormone and if that's out of balance then
you have a hormonal problem. Adding more hormones and poisons from food
makes things worse. Eat whole grain, ancient grain and rye instead of
white. Avoid refined sugars. If you must have sweets try sugar free unless
you can make your own (with stevia). Sweeteners are bad.

  20. It is really amazing that a diabetic Doctor completely rejects the idea of
high carbohydrate diets being good for diabetes, See- "Achieving normal
blood sugars for diabetics with the aid of a low carbohydrate diet and
exercise is the focus of Dr. Bernstein's Revised and Updated 2007 Diabetes
Solution, and the New Diabetes Diet, Dr. Bernstein's Low-Carbohydrate
    Solution, Richard K. Bernstein, M.D., F.A.C.E., F.A.C.N., C.W.S., FACCWS.
It seems strange this contradiction !

  22. Hello, i have a question, I am from germany and we use BE(BrotEinheiten)
instead of carbohydrates. 12g carbo = 1 BE, i was searching for the english
Word of "Broteinheiten", but i dind't find it. and we have a "BE-Faktor",
what means, if the BE-Factor is 2, we have to inject 2 Insulin Units for
each BE we eat. do you use the same calculation method? or is it really
different, because i dind't find anything about that.
